The aim of the International Graduate School (IGS) is to promote excellence in teaching and research in logistics within an optimal framework. The IGS meets the challenge of globalisation in logistics through practice-oriented research and intercultural cooperation.
The research areas of the IGS focus on four topics:
- Theme 1: Business models, decision processes and economic analyses of dynamics in logistics
- Theme 2: Holistic interdisciplinary methods for modelling, analysis and simulation of dynamics in logistics
- Theme 3: Adaptive and dynamic control methods in logistics
- Theme 4: Synchronisation of material, information, decision and financial flows in logistics
The IGS improves the career perspectives of early-stage researchers by offering a structured doctoral training as well as providing complementary skills and introducing researchers to industry and the international scientific community.
There are opportunities for doctoral candidates to participate in international conferences. Another incentive is the option of actively contributing to the content and organization of the International Conference on Dynamics in Logistics (LDIC), which is organised by Log
Dynamics every two years.
The IGS can offer further research topics and project ideas within the framework of
Erasmus Mundus funding, in particular from supervisors at Log
Dynamics. Please visit the websites of the professors at Log
Dynamics to identify a supervisor and a research topic that suits you.
